Montgomery BearBackers

BEARBACKERS is an ALL Sports Booster Club. This club helps with funding for athletic scholarships, improvements to facilities, and end-of-season team banquets for your athlete. Every year Bearbackers awards numerous scholarships to Senior athletes headed off to college. Through last year’s proceeds, Bearbackers has provided $3600 to install a Sand Pit to be used by all the athletes as a conditioning tool. They also purchased a new $10,000 sound system for the Main Gym at MHS and spent $4,000 for EZ-UP pop-up tents that are used by all of the sports teams, as well as, at our annual fundraising events.

Bearbackers sell ads annuallyin the High School Sports programs . These programs are sold at all home football games. Merchandise, such as T-shirts, caps, hoodies and stadium seats are also sold at sports events for fundraising. Selling memberships to parents of Junior High and High School athletes is a very important means of raising money, because without you, we could not provide all that we do to our deserving student athletes

MHS "Lip Dub" - We are True to our School!

Montgomery High School staff and students have rallied and put together another amazing “lip dub” to start off the 2014-2015 school year. One week prior to the school’s homecoming game, the students showed their spirit for MHS as they sang to the Beach Boys’ Be True to Your School. The MHS Lip Dub will be entered into the Macy’s Back to School Lip Dub Contest where the grand prize winner will take home $25,000. The second place prize award is $15,000, and third place is $10,000. Macy’s mandated the song selection and will judge the entries on creativity, participation, school spirit and execution. Winners will be announced on October 31st.

MHS teacher and lip dub organizer and producer, Jolynda McGrath said, “The kids did an AMAZING job and I couldn’t be prouder! Moving up into the 6A arena we wanted to produce something we could be proud of and we definitely showed our heart and spirit in this year’s production. Many thanks to everyone who made this possible with special recognition to fellow teachers Eric Presley, Jessica Ferrarone, and Chelsea Peverill. We had almost everyone in attendance and it was a team effort from everyone at MHS!”
