Bear Backers Golf Tournament

One of the biggest Bear Backer fundraisers of the year is the annual
Bear Backer All-Sports Scholarship Golf Tournament.
Bentwater Country Club
Sunday, October 16, 2016

The tournament will be a Shotgun Scramble format beginning at 1:00 p.m. Registration starts at 11:45. Following play there will be an awards presentation, dinner, and silent auction in the clubhouse.
Click here for more information, a schedule of events, and to register.

Last year, this community-wide event generated funds more than $20,000 to provide college scholarships to Montgomery High School’s outstanding senior student athletes in ALL sports! We know that with the support of the Montgomery community as well as the Greater Houston Area business leaders, parents, loved ones and patrons from the past tournaments we can exceed this amount in 2016!  Thank you in advance for your consideration in donating to this very special event. Your support is greatly appreciated and is distributed in various and meaningful ways to our student athletes making an impact on our community for years to come.

The Bear Backer Booster Club of Montgomery ISD is a non-profit organization that was established in 1978 as an All Sports Booster Club. The Booster Club is formed by school patrons to help enrich the school’s participation in interschool athletic activities. This club helps with funding for athletic scholarships, improvements to facilities, championship banners, signs and end of season team banquets for athletes.

Practice Redesigned SAT Test at MHS-September 24th

What’s the difference in the PSAT/NMSQT(Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test) taken during school hours on Oct. 19th and the Practice SAT offered through Princeton at MHS?

The PSAT/NMSQT is a National test for grades 9th through 11th grade students provided through the College Board and measures the reading, writing and math skills for college readiness. For 11th grade students, it is a National Merit Qualifier. Test scores are sent directly to you several weeks later.

The Practice SAT offered by Princeton is a full length practice test given under the same testing conditions as the actual exam. You will receive your personalized score report, only one week later, that shows your strengths and weaknesses. You will learn about the endurance and skill needed to score high on the actual SAT test
